Live your Success! We believe you can!
by Dan Skeen
For the first time, at
your demand, Success TV and liveyoursuccess.com bring
you entertaining and inspiring stories from great experts, gurus,
artists, CEOs, and athletes. Their life stories are fascinating, but
for those striving for a clearer path to personal success, they offer
so much more. Our goal is to show that regardless of wealth,
education, upbringing, ethnicity or gender, we all have in us the
same potential to manifest success, whatever our own definition of
that is, as the great leaders and thinkers we bring you.
What is your definition
of success? For some, character drives success. Many believe that
character is what spurs the determination of serial Tour de France
winner and cancer survivor, Lance Armstrong. For others, like Martin
Luther King, Jr., character supported tremendous courage.
Yet success does not
spring from character alone; it can be developed or recognized. Best
selling author Stephen Covey believes that by cultivating your spirit
and learning to control both appetites and passions, you can “begin
to choose the desires of your life.” And spirituality author
Deepak Chopra maintains that success is a matter of learning to make
peace with the present and stop yearning for the future or the past.
These viewpoints suggest that, with a few workouts in the mental gym,
we can tone our outlook and build a new future.
It begs the question,
“Can you, too, achieve success? Does one graduate to
greatness?” Our interviewers and editors dig deep to find
real-life lessons and universal wisdom that can be applied by anyone.
Or, as Intel founder Andy Grove says, “Your situation is what
it is, but, how you deal with it will make a difference.”
We’re not
satisfied with a single definition of success. Our content mirrors
the balance we all seek, including career, wellness, relationships,
spirituality and wealth. Look for hundreds of real-life lessons from
inspiring successful people, such as:
Jack Welch on
motivation: “Your job as a leader is to go around and pump
self-confidence into people so they can be the best they can be. Your
job is to make everybody feel six feet tall with hair.”
Bill Bradley (former
NBA star and Presidential candidate) on purpose: “The two
most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day
you know why.”
Deepak Chopra on
spirituality: “I don’t think success really ultimately
is about achievement. Success is about having fun along the journey.
And if you’re enjoying what you do … then success is a
byproduct.”
Martha Stewart on
relationships: “After I got divorced … I decided
being critical is one of the problems. So I forced myself not to
criticize. I think I lost 30% of my personality.”
